On August 27, 2020, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (ACOC) under its authority pursuant to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to American Industrial Plant Services Inc. located at 12423 Jim Babin Rd, St Amant, LA. American Industrial Plant Services fabricates and plates metal. EPA conducted a RCRA record review investigation of the facility activities as a generator of hazardous waste and identified areas of concerns. The ACOC was issued in response to violations for: failing to provide adequate and timely notification of its hazardous waste activities in violation of Section 3010(a) of RCRA, 42 U.S.C. ? 6930(a), and failure to meet the requirements of its generator status as a small quantity generators under 40 C.F.R. ? 262.34/or 270. American Industrial Plant Services Inc. will be required to certify return to compliance within 45 days.
