On June 19, 2020, EPA issued a Unilateral Administrative Order under the Clean Air Act to the Town of Montague for its failure to perform a process hazard review under the Clean Air Act's General Duty Clause at its POTW. The facility uses chlorine as a disinfectant but has not analyzed the hazards associated with its use. The Order requires the Town to perform the hazard review.
