Bruce Shark, LLC, a Chino based company, imported 200 chainsaws and 20 hedge trimmers, all of which were uncertified by EPA. These goods were denied entry because they failed to show an EPA-issued certificate of conformity, which demonstrates adherence to CAA emissions standards. To settle the violations, Bruce Shark agreed to pay a $2,960 civil penalty and submitted proof of the destruction of goods.
