The Unites States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) signed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CA/FO) with Unicold Corporation located in Honolulu, Hawaii this week. The CA/FO will resolve violations of CAA 112(r) related to their refrigeration system which uses anhydrous ammonia. The Company will pay a civil penalty of $210,564 and perform several tasks to achieve compliance.
