On September 22, 2020, Region 1 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order both initiating and resolving an action for violations of Section 313 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act against Electric Motion Company, Inc. (Electric Motion) of Winsted, Connecticut. EPA alleged that Electric Motion, owned by Hubell Power Systems, Inc., failed to report ammonia in its TRI Reports for two years. The company has come into compliance and will pay a penalty of $36,006.
