On September 29, 2020, Region 1 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) settling claims for civil penalties against LandMark Construction LLC dba Oceanside Exteriors, a construction and renovation company located in Portland, Maine. The company was one of several contractors working on a residential property in Portland during EPA's July 2018 worksite inspection. The inspection resulted in EPA finding several contractors not following lead-safe work practices and not being properly RRP certified. The CAFO simultaneously commenced and settled the case that alleged violations of the EPA's TSCA RRP regulation. Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $5,021 and has come into compliance with the RRP rule.
