On September 29, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admissions (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide device imported by Leidos Security Detection & Automation through the port of Washington DC-Dulles. The device is a UV sterilizer intended for use in airport security. The product was not produced in an EPA registered establishment and was not labeled properly. It was determined to be misbranded. Sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide device is a violation of FIFRA. The importer has the option to export or destroy the product.
