EPA and the US Navy entered into a Federal Facility Compliance Agreement (FFCA) to address Significant Non-Compliance (SNC) level violations at the treatment plant tied to effluent and permit violations. The Navy has agreed to design and install an upgraded WWTP and to improve its operation and maintenance program. The upgrades will cost approximately $2.3 million and completion is expected by October 2021.
