On October 1, 2020, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order under its authority pursuant to the Clean Air Act to Eagle US 2 located in Westlake, Louisiana. The Consent Agreement and Final Order was issued in response to violations of: Title V Operating Permit No. 2270-V5, Title V Operating Permit No. 2695-V9 and LAC 33:III.501.C.4. of the Louisiana SIP. The Consent Agreement and Final Order requires Eagle US 2 to evaluate measures to prevent excess emissions of total VOC from the Per/Tri Unit Cooling Tower (EQT 0279) and the TE 2 Unit MC/DCE Scrubber (EQT 0434) and pay a penalty.
