EPA Region 10 Settles with (DB Development, LLC, Meridian, ID) for CWA Violations
On [DATE], Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean
Water Act by DB Development, LLC for its Gran Pardo Subdivision in Meridian, Idaho. DB
Development, LLC terminated permit coverage before it completed final stabilization on a large soil
stockpile. It also removed vegetation around tributaries to Mason Creek. Modeling showed corrective
actions such as removing the soil stockpile prevented 4,126 pounds of sediment from reaching Mason
Creek, a tributary of the Lower Boise River system. This River system is listed as impaired for
sedimentation/siltation, temperature, Chlorpyrifos and Malathion. The Respondent has agreed to pay a
penalty of $2,400 and has returned to compliance. The estimated cost of injunctive relief is $1,500.
