EPA Region 10 Settles with Oxbow Earthworks, Inc., Blackfoot, ID) for CWA Violations
On March 23, 2021, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the
Clean Water Act by Oxbow Earthworks, Inc. for the Bonanza Floodplain Restoration Project North of
Sunbeam, Idaho. Oxbow Earthworks, Inc. failed to control a turbid discharge from dewatering
activities and to monitor turbid discharges. This action prevents 2,778 pound of sediment from
discharging to the Yankee Fork River. The Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $1,200 and has
returned to compliance. The estimated cost of injunctive relief is $986.
