Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) ? SPCC Violations
On February 23, 2021, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Covich-Williams Co., Inc, located in Seattle, WA. Respondent had an inadequate Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure and its facility lacked adequate spill prevention measures. With an oil storage capacity of over 112,155 gallons, the injunctive relief measures implemented by the Respondent will help prevent oil releases. The Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $13,000 and has returned to compliance. The estimated cost of injunctive relief is $200,000.
