with a Consent Agreement and Final Order ratified on September 21, 2021 addressing violations of the
Clean Air Act by Riverbend Landfill, located in McMinnville, Oregon. The settlement is part of EPAs
National Compliance Initiative, Creating Cleaner Air for Communities by Reducing Excess Emissions
of Harmful Pollutants. The company failed to conduct compliant surface emission monitoring, ensure
monthly cover integrity, and monitor a well on a monthly basis. Riverbend agreed to pay a penalty of
$104,482.00 and implement enhanced monitoring, inspection, and tracking measures to resolve the
violations.
