On February 8, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admissions (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide device imported by Spring Health Products, Inc. through the Port of Philadelphia, PA. The shipment contained a UV pesticide device that was not labeled properly and was determined to be misbranded. Sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide device is a violation of FIFRA. The importer has the option to export the product or have it destroyed according to state and local regulations.
