EPA Region 10 and City of Craigmont located in Craigmont, Idaho agreed to settlement for CWA
violations of the City?s NPDES Permit No. ID 0021288. The City exceeded effluent limits for E. coli,
total residual chlorine, total suspended solids, and BOD5. Settlement will ensure that the City
maintains compliance with their NPDES permit and protects human health and aquatic life. The City
has agreed to pay a penalty of $15,000 and agreed to enter into an Administrative Compliance Order
with EPA. By coming into compliance, the City of Craigmont is reducing 2,104 pounds of suspended
solids, chlorine, and biochemical oxygen demand as well as E. coli from entering John Dobb Creek.
