On June 2, 2021, EPA filed a Clean Water Act expedited settlement agreement (Agreement) with Mujeeb Construction Company, Inc. that addresses the company's failure to obtain coverage under the NPDES General Permit for Discharge from Construction Activities at the Carpenter Estates site in Northbridge, Massachusetts. Pursuant to the Agreement, Mujeeb Construction Company, Inc. will pay a $7,200 penalty. EPA implements the NPDES program in Massachusetts and notified the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection of this matter.
