On June 9, 2021, EPA Region 1 filed an expedited settlement agreement (Agreement) resolving Otis Land Management, LLC's (Otis) alleged violations of the General Permit for Discharges from Construction Activities (CGP) at the 4 Sturbridge Road site in Charlton, MA. On December 25, 2020, there was a turbid discharge from the site. On January 13, 2020, EPA inspected the site and determined that the site did not have CGP coverage. Pursuant to the Agreement, Otis has obtained CGP coverage, addressed erosion control issues, and will pay an $8,700 penalty.
