EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) to Welch WSC (Respondent). EPA Region 6 issued the AO under its authority pursuant to Section 1414(g) of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Respondent at its water system in Welch, Texas. The AO was issued in response to violations of the nitrate Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL). The AO requires Respondent to follow the construction schedule submitted to EPA to achieve compliance with the MCL by October 1, 2024.
