On July 30, 2021, Region 10 filed an Expedited Settlement Agreement with Costco Wholesale
Corporation to address Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) violations at its facility at
5225 Commercial Boulevard, Juneau, Alaska. The violations involve failure to properly label a
container of hazardous waste and failure to conduct weekly inspections. Under the terms of the
Agreement, Costco certified it has corrected the RCRA violations and paid a civil penalty of $2,000.
