On June 21, 2021, EPA Region 1 filed an expedited settlement agreement (Agreement) resolving 383 Park Street, LLC's alleged violations of the General Permit for Discharges from Construction Activities (CGP) at the Shay Lane Subdivision site in North Reading, MA. On December 4, 2020, EPA conducted an inspection at Shay Lane Subdivision and observed failures to maintain erosion controls, stabilize stockpiles, and properly contain containers of petroleum. 383 Park Street, LLC was also operating without obtaining coverage under the CGP. Pursuant to the Agreement, 383 Park Street, LLC obtained CGP coverage and certified that the alleged violations have been addressed. It will pay a $9,000 penalty.
