This settlement addresses violations of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) for the storage of hazardous waste at the ON Semiconductor Corporation facility in Tacoma, WA. The violations include inadequate leak detection and repair regarding tanks and other equipment in which volatile organic solvents are stored. In a Consent Agreement and Final Order effective September 23, 2021, ON Semiconductor Corporation agreed to pay a penalty of $143,000, and also to certify that it has identified and is properly monitoring all equipment.
