On August 20, 2021 EPA Region 6 issued a Final Administrative Order for compliance under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Performance Energy Resources. located in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. The AO was issued because the company failed to complete corrective actions and (40 C.F.R. 147.2903(b), 147.2905, and 147.2920) maintained injection well in a manner that could allow fluid movement into a USDW.
