On May 8, 2018, EPA Region 6 initiated a hazardous waste facility inspection under its authority pursuant to Section 3007 of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act at the Rineco Chemical Industries facility located Benton, AR. EPA filed consent agreement and final order on July 26, 2021 with Rineco . The violations identified and addressed under CAFO are :- i) Permit Violation ( Failure to provide Notification of Low- BTU Hazardous Waste) ii) Failure to comply with Test Methods and Procedures for Leak detection Monitoring.
