## Summary

On August 9, 2024 This is the first modification to the BFPP Agreement

On December 22, 2020, Region 1 reached a Bona Fide Prospective Purchaser Agreement (BFPPA) with a developer, Blaylock Holdings, LLC, (Baylock) for the remediation and beneficial reuse of the Mohawk Tannery Site (a.k.a. Granite State Leathers) in Nashua, New Hampshire. The cleanup and redevelopment is funded through the combined efforts of the developer, the City of Nashua, NHDES, and EPA. This agreement is unique in that the developer's cleanup costs at the site will be partially reimbursed by EPA since Blaylock is not a liable party and agreed to perform the entire cleanup. The agreement was developed in coordination with the city of Nashua and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. The cleanup work addresses hazardous substances present in soils, sludges, and contaminated waste originating from the site. Once the cleanup is complete, Blaylock plans to redevelop the area into mixed-use commercial space and residential units, providing significant economic opportunity and much-needed residential housing and bringing an otherwise abandoned property back into productive use.
