On August 16, 2021, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order under its authority pursuant to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act to the Veritiv Corporation located in Irving, Texas. The CAFO was issued in response to violations of: 1. Notification requirements pursuant to 3010(a) of RCRA, and 2. Standards of a small quantity generator pursuant to 40 CFR 261.5 of RCRA. The CAFO requires Veritiv to meet requirements set forth in the Compliance Order section of the CAFO and to pay a civil penalty. Veritiv must respond to EPA Region 6 by satisfying their compliance requirements within 90 calendar days of the effective date of this CAFO and remitting payment within 30 calendar days of the effective date of this CAFO.
