On August 31, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and BorderProtection to refuse admission of an unregistered disinfectant pesticide imported by the University of Pittsburgh through the UPS Hub in Philadelphia, PA. The importer has stated they wish to destroy the product and they will be required to provide documentation of destruction to EPA. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture was copied on the NORA, and FIFRA registration violations are exempt from EJ screen.
