On June 9, 2021, EPA Region 1 issued an Immediate Compliance Order under Section 113(a)(3) of the Clean Air Act to the US Fish & Wildlife Service Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge (Westbrook, CT). US Fish and Wildlife was cited for failing to provide EPA with notification at least ten days before demolition work began at the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge located at 733 Old Clinton Rd, Westbrook, Connecticut. The order requires US Fish and Wildlife to immediately comply with the Clean Air Act Asbestos NESHAP.
