On September 29, 2021, EPA Region III filed a signed CAFO resolving alleged violations of the CWA by West Virginia Manufacturing LLC. EPA alleged that the respondent violated requirements of its industrial stormwater permit at the Alloy, WV facility. The alleged violations consisted of failing to sample at approved sampling locations, conduct composite samples, calibrate monitoring equipment, to practice good housekeeping and implement their stormwater pollution prevention plan. EPA notified and worked with WV DEP on this action. The Respondent will pay $105,000 in civil penalties under the CAFO.
