On October 20, Region 3 issued a FIFRA Notice of Warning (NOW) to Southern States of Burkeville, VA for sale and distribution of a misbranded herbicide. The Harness Max Herbicide (EPA Reg. # 524-636) was missing required information about personal protective equipment. This was discovered as part of a case review from an inspection conducted by Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, utilizing federal credentials. FIFRA violations are exempt from EJ screen and the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services was copied on the Notice of Warning.
