On January 26, 2022, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the
Clean Water Act by Sundance Lumber Company, Inc. for its facility in Springfield Oregon. Sundance
Lumber Company, Inc. failed to properly document best management practices in the facility?s
stormwater pollution control plan (SWPCP). Additionally, they failed to develop corrective action
reports for benchmark exceedances, and to minimize exposure of a fixed fueling area to precipitation
and runoff. The Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $64,500 and has returned to compliance.
