EPA Region 6 issued Administrative Order (AO) to Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, for violations of the concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO) permit issued by the State of Texas. The alleged violations include:
1. Failure to maintain adequate freeboard in the wastewater retention structure (Lake 4);
2. Failure to keep records of the water level in Lake 4;
3. Failure to conduct water sampling of Lake 4 twice every year; and
4. Improper management of manure storage dumpsters.
The AO requires Lone Star Park to come into compliance with its CAFO permit.
