On February 28, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to Microbial Defense Laboratories, LLC (MDL) located in Spring Branch, Texas. The CAFO was issued in response to violations of: Section 12(a)(1)(A) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(1)(A); and Section 12(a)(1)(E) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(1)(E). Pursuant to the CAFO, MDL agrees to pay a civil penalty of $3,371 within thirty (30) days of the effective date of the Final Order.
