According to the settlement, Daniel Byers, dba A+ Handyman Home Improvement, performed multiple renovations on pre-1978 homes without obtaining EPA lead-safe firm certification and was unable to provide all records necessary to demonstrate compliance with the Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule. A+ Handyman obtained firm certification and paid a penalty to settle the allegations.
