On June 22, 2022, EPA Region 10 issued an expedited settlement agreement resolving CWA violation by McCall River Ranch Company for its McCall River Ranch construction site in McCall, Idaho. EPA Region 10 alleged that McCall River Ranch Company failed to take the following actions required by the Clean Water Act and EPA?s Stormwater Construction General Permit (CGP): 1) obtain coverage under EPA?s Stormwater Construction General Permit for two months, 2) update the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, 3) conduct/document self-inspections at the required frequency, 4) maintain silt fence(s) and 5) maintain/install other Best Management Practices. Correcting these CGP requirements is estimated to have reduced the delivery of 321,724 pounds of sediment associated with construction activities from reaching the North Fork of the Payette River. Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $4,140 and will spend as estimated $3,420 to return to compliance.
