On May 17, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued a Final Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Little Chief Energy Corporation located in Bartlesville, OK. The AO was issued in response to violations of 40 C.F.R. Sections 147.2903, 147.2907, and 147.2909 through 147.2918. The AO requires Little Chief Energy Corporation to to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of the well; plug the well; or convert the well to production. Little Chief Energy Corporation must respond to EPA Region 6 within 30 days of receiving the AO.
