On October 11, 2022, EPA Region 10 settled with Valley Agronomics, LLC, (Greenleaf, Idaho) for violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). The violations were discovered during a September 27, 2019, inspection of the companys Greenleaf, Idaho facility by Idaho State Department of Agriculture. EPA alleged that Valley Agronomics violated multiple provisions of EPAs Container/Containment regulations, including failing to have and maintain required secondary containment for several pesticides stored on-site, failing to have adequate containment in pesticide dispensing areas, and failing to maintain records. The company agreed to pay a civil penalty of $144,446.
