On May 3, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the Perryville Waterworks Water System in Perryville, Arkansas. The AO was issued in response to violations of the SDWA, specifically, the Risk and Resilience Rule requirements. The AO requires the Perryville Waterworks water system to conduct a risk and resilience assessment (RRA) and revise or develop an emergency response plan (ERP) and certify to EPA that an RRA and ERP were conducted. The City of Perryville must respond to EPA Region 6 by May 27, 2022.
