On April 19, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the Walker County SUD D, in Huntsville, Texas. The AO was issued in response to violations of the SDWA, specifically, the Risk and Resilience Rule requirements. The AO requires Walker County SUD D water system to conduct a risk and resilience assessment (RRA) and revise or develop an emergency response plan (ERP) and certify to EPA that an RRA and ERP were conducted, and must respond to EPA Region 6 by April 29, 2022.
