On May 3, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the Mayes CO RWD #5 in Adair, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to violations under the SDWA, specifically, the Risk and Resilience Rule requirements. The AO requires the Mayes CO RWD #5 water system to conduct a risk and resilience assessment (RRA) and revise or develop an emergency response plan (ERP) and certify to EPA that an RRA and ERP were conducted. The Mayes CO RWD #5 must respond to EPA Region 6 by May 27, 2022.
