The City of Baytown, TX has multiple violations of Section 301 of the Clean Water Act, CWA. The violations include Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs), and effluent limit violations of the Texas Pollutants Discharge Elimination System, TPDES, permit from April 2017 through January 1, 2022. Specifically the City has had a minimum of 800 SSOs and have committed 1000 effluent limit violations of the TPDES permit. Enforcement action is being taken to address these multiple violations.
