On June 9, 2022, EPA and the Respondent entered into a bona fide prospective purchaser agreement for the Pierson's Creek Superfund Site, located in the City of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. Under the agreement, the Respondent agrees to perform a non-time critical removal action to remove mercury contaminated sediments on its property adjacent to Pierson's Creek, which flows through its property, and to reimburse EPA for costs incurred in overseeing this work.
