On April 15, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide, Maquat MC-1412-80%, imported by Suez WTS USA, Inc. through the Philadelphia International Aiport. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute a misbranded pesticide. The importer has the option to export or destroy the products and they will be required to provide documentation to EPA. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture was copied on the NORA, and FIFRA misbranding violations are exempt from EJ screen.
