This Administrative Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent (Settlement) is
entered into voluntarily by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and
Atlantic Richfield Company (Respondent). This Settlement provides for the performance of a
removal action by Respondent and the payment of certain response costs incurred by the United
States at or in connection with the Rico-Argentine Site (the Site) generally located in and around
the Rico-Argentine Mine in Rico, Dolores County, Colorado.
