On August 11, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued a schedule Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) under its authority pursuant to Section 301 of the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C.1311, to Cherokee Nation (Respondent) located in Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to unauthorized discharges [or sanitary sewer overflows (SSO)] violations. The AOC requires Respondent to comply with the associated activity schedule and provisions as set forth in the Order.
