On September 27, 2022, EPA Region 10 settled with Trademark Global, LLC for a violation of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). On March 30, 2022, Trademark Global provided product packaging and labeling for the import of a pesticide device, EVLAs UV Light Sanitizers. The product packaging and labeling contained false and misleading statements in violation of FIFRA Section 12(a)(1)(F). Misleading statements included claims about sterilization provided by the product and lack of specificity on organisms controlled by the device. The company agreed to relabel the misbranded devices domestically and pay a civil penalty of $4,390.
