On September 23, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order with DDM Imports, Inc. (DDM) for violations of Title II of the Clean Air Act. DDM imported an uncertified motor vehicles in November 2021. The violation was identified by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers located at in Eastport, Idaho and referred to EPA requesting follow up. This is the fourth enforcement action EPA has taken against DDM for importing non-conforming motor vehicles since March 2020. DDM will pay a civil penalty of $41,582.
