On December 5, 2022, EPA Region 10 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CA/FO) requiring Mohammad Ali to pay $3,000 for his role in overseeing impacts to approximately 5 acres of wetlands and multiple tributaries to the Kenai River as he prepared the property for a potential future cabin development. This penalty amount was developed following a review of Mr. Ali's financial documentation, which indicated an inability-to-pay a full civil penalty. The parties have already executed an AOC requiring development and implementation of a restoration and mitigation plan.
