## Summary

On September 29, 2022, Region 1 issued an Administrative Order requiring Lake Dunmore Kampersville, Inc. (Kampersville), owner of Kampersville Deli in Salisbury, Vermont, to comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the Vermont Water Supply Rule by complying with seasonal start-up procedure requirements, conducting required monitoring for total coliform and nitrate, and issuing public notices of non-compliance. The Kampersville drinking water system servicing the Kampersville Deli consists of a groundwater source distributed through a single service connection consisting of a deli and convenience store adjacent to a campground. The campground is served by a separate system and is not subject to this Order. The water is not treated. Region 1 issued this Order in response to a request by the State of Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VT DEC) that EPA take enforcement action against Kampersville requiring that Kampersville return to compliance with state and federal drinking water laws administered by the State of Vermont.
