On September 30, Region 3 issued a Notice of Warning (NOW) to Very Best, Inc., a wholesaler located in Jessup, MD, for selling and distributing a pesticidal laundry detergent which is not EPA-registered. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute an unregistered pesticide. Very Best, Inc. has 10 days to respond to the NOW by outlining what steps it has taken or will take to achieve future compliance with FIFRA. The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) was copied on the NOW. FIFRA violations of this type are exempt from EJ screening.
