On October 13, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (AOC) under the authority of Section 113(a)(1)(A) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. ? 7413(a)(1)(A) to Cameron LNG, LLC for its Hackberry facility located in Hackberry, LA.
The AOC was issued in response to a violation of LAC 33:III.919.B.1 of the Louisiana SIP for failing to report actual emissions in the annual emissions inventory for six criteria pollutants for reporting year 2019 as to SSM emissions ground flare at the facility.
The AOC requires Cameron to report actual emissions in its annual emissions inventory for 2019, review its procedures for submitting annual emissions inventories to LDEQ and update as necessary to ensure future accurate emissions reporting, and submit to EPA a copy of the signed Certification Statement submitted to LDEQ for reporting year 2019 within 60 days and for reporting year 2021 within 60 days of this order.
